“West side story” is not just Bernstein’s music for the musical of the same name but it is also a story about our house in Vela Luka. The town is located on the western part of the island of Korčula, the house is lying on the seafront, facing west side, the view from all rooms is to the west and the sea is just ahead, at your fingertips, and I’m sitting on the waterfront with my fingers, but… let’s go further with the text.

Living in the house on the seafront, having your eyes on ships come and go, boats sailing in the bay or berthed, where your boat will be, people walking by the sea, and perhaps a fisherman who is looking for octopus with spear in the hand – that’s a privilege!

The house is traditionally built of white stone. Present owner has started reconstructing the interior but has not been completed, which is certainly an advantage. Most buyers like changes, different rooms arrangements, painted walls, furniture, lighting, etc.

In most Dalmatian places, the houses on the seafront are arranged in a row, leaning against each other or next to the narrow lanes perpendicular to the sea. Such as is our house. It consists of two levels; ground floor and first floor, total area of 120 m2, a mezzanine can be added with beds having the sea and bay views.

Finally, the position on the seafront and stone made house of 120 sq. meters right next to the azure sea for Euro 140.000 – is also a privilege!
